How to save money: VAT refund (Tax Free)

Foreign tourists can refund part of the VAT on purchases in Thailand under the Tax Free system. This is especially beneficial when buying branded clothing, equipment or cosmetics.

Return conditions:

• The purchase amount in one store must be from 2000 baht per day
• The store must be a member of the program and have a sign VAT Refund for Tourists
• You will be given a form VAT Refund Application for Tourists (P.P.10)
• Upon departure at the airport, you must present this form, checks and the goods themselves at the customs desk
• A customs or excise officer checks documents and stamps them to receive a refund
